How can i check if the site was hacked/has a virus?
-
When I go to my site (thepluszone.wordpress.com), the Antivirus (Avast!) tells me it has just blocked a trojan horse virus from my page. Has my site been hacked into or has it caught a virus? Is it possible to check that?
I do have many embedded videos and links on my blog, because this is what I ‘d like to share with my readers.
By the way, besides the warning, I don’t see anything strange on the blog.
If you could give me a tip or point me in the right direction, I’d be really grateful!
Thanks!!

So far all the “virus” problems have been bad links on a blog to a bad site or false positives with the anti-virus program
The AV should give you some sort of link name usually with the warning – use the Omni-Search function in your dashboard to find that link and delete it

Thank you. If I remember correctly, Avast said it was iframe JS something.. Can this be because of embedded Youtube videos? But I didn’t write that code myself, I just used the embedding format provided by WordPress.
thanks anyway! -
use the search function above – try versions of the file name URL whatever until you find the link – should not be due to YouTube videos – just try versions of the name that comes out from Avast
