how can I choose which page within my site a post appears on?

  I would like to have my site divided into sections with different posts appearing on different pages. How can I control where a post gets put?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – It’s not possible to post to multiple pages – all of your posts will appear on your home page by default, or you can move them to one of your other pages. You can create the effect of posting to multiple pages, however, by using category pages in a custom menu. This guide will walk you through how to do this:

  Thank you, that was enormously helpful!
  I successfully set up my category page, but I cannot seem to find the way to change the layout of the page itself or put any static information at the top of the page, since it does not show up on my ‘pages’ menu where I can edit them. Can you help me with that?

  Hi there – you can’t really add static information to the top of a category page. However, you can add a Text widget to the sidebar or footer, add whatever information you want on that page to the text widget, and then use the Visibility button in the widget to make that particular widget only show up on that category page:

  Not really, but I’ve made the Category page a sub-page of a static page with the info I wanted on it, which worked fairly well.

  Cool, I’m glad you figured out a solution for that.

  Do you mean you want the text within your pages to be formatted in columns? If so, you can likely do this with a combination of CSS and some HTML added in the page’s Text editor, but it’s a bit complex. Here are a couple of recent forum threads I found with advice on how to do this:
