How can I clear spam cache?
-
This is a recent problem. I have been clearing spam regularly with no problem. Lately, when I an in the statistics page and notice “there are 43 items in your spam folder” and click on that, I am misdirected to read Blogs I Follow or some other area of Word Press.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
First, I highly recommend that you add these folks to your Comment Blacklist, so they can no longer spam your comments. Here are the instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
“there are 43 items in your spam folder” and click on that, I am misdirected to read Blogs I Follow or some other area of Word Press.
Could you tell me what link you click on that sends you to another area of WordPress.com?
Does this happen if, while in your Site Stats page, you click the Spam tab, and then click the link that contains the number of spams in your folder (ie. “16 comments”).Thanks so much! Best to you.

Yes, as stated in the original correspondence, when I am on my Site Stats page and click on the link that contains the number of spams in my folder, I am directed to another part of WordPress. Sometimes it is the entire Comments list (the already approved ones) and lately the redirect is to Blogs I Follow.

This afternoon I was able to clear the spam cache through the Dashboard, instead of Stats.
But here another curiosity appeared. The notice on my screen said there were 31 spam. I cleared 11 and the ticker at the top of the screen next to “spam” said (0). I could not get to a second page, if there is one.
So, screen says 31 spam and I clear 11. Where are the other 20?
Thanks,

Hey KT, Our team is investigating the site misdirect issue so can can fix the bug. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
When I checked into the discrepancy between how many spam your stats are listing, versus how many you’re seeing. Right now, I see 9 listed, and 9 are in your moderation folder. It appears as if the spam folder/spam stats don’t refresh at the same rate.
How did you discover the missing 20?…Or did the numbers balance after some time elapsed?
Best to you.
