How can I close a old wordpress blog from 2008?

  I don’t really use it at all and I wanted to close it because it is showing up in search engines, but I can’t seem to find the option anywhere. When I log in, I don’t even see the blog, but i can log in from the url address

  For security reasons, we are unable to give out account information to email addresses other than the one listed on the account. We require an email from the address used to register the account to prove ownership of the account and cannot accept any other forms of identification.

  Another thing you can do is just try to remember the password and test the login using the form at the top left of the http://wordpress.com/ home page.
