How can I configure the Twitter Timeline Widget the same as the Twitter Widget?

I cannot configure the Twitter Timeline Widget to (1) hide replies, (2) hide tweets pushed by publicize and (3) exclude retweets. This functionality is available in the soon to be removed Twitter Widget.

    Hi there!

The new Twitter Timeline Widget is replacing the Twitter Widget due to changes to the way we can access information from Twitter based upon their API.

The current behavior of the Timeline widget is to exclude replies, but to otherwise display all content from the Twitter account, including publicized tweets and also retweets. The timeline is embedded with content generated by Twitter, so we’re limited to the customization they offer. Currently they only offer some formatting customization, as described here:
    https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines#customization

Since Twitter doesn’t offer the ability to hide publicized tweets and retweets – there’s no way to hide those items from the widget.

I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi! Thank you very much for following this query up, and promptly too.

I’m sad to hear that the new Twitter widget will not match the earlier version’s functionality but I understand the reasons why. A sad day.

    Thank you again.

    Adrian
