How can I configure/remove the HTML from my pages?

    I just configured a blog on wordpress.com for a customer of mine, and I helped him in the first steps in authoring.

    The blog is at http://stabellini.org and there are two administrators for that blog, me and the customer.

    Now, in the source of each page WordPress adds a meta like this:

    <meta name=”description” content=”Spazio web personale (per Paolo Donadeo)” />

    “Spazio web personale” is Italian for “personal web space” and it’s fine because that is the tabline of the blog. But that following “(per Paolo Donadeo)”, which is “for Paolo Donadeo” seems to appear from thin air. I’m Paolo Donadeo, and my customer wants to delete the reference to another person.

    Is it possible to remove the “meta description” or configure wordpress.com to output only the tagline?

    Is it possible to remove the “meta description” or configure wordpress.com to output only the tagline?

    This is a multi-user blogging platform. Our blogs are not free standing. They share a common architecture. It is not possible for us WordPress.com bloggers to access metadata.

    Dear timethief, I don’t want to change metadata in an arbitrary way, I only asked why “meta description” contains my name instead of the name of my customer, and why a name at all, instead of the tagline only.

    Aha! Blogs belong to the username accounts that register them. To transfer the blog to your client you need to add the client as a an Admin and follow this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

    Thanks! This is exactly what I was searching for. I just transfered the ownership of the blog, and the meta information is correct now.

    Thanks again.

    Can you flag this thread as “solved” or something like that?

    Just registering my desire that the blog owner name gets removed from the blog description metadata. Particularly for group blogs, it is annoying to have one name.

    The other option would have blog owner as optional metadata, so we could turn it on/off via the dashboard (general?).
