How can I correct the sequence number on the left side of my posts?

  I have entered three posts. They should be numbered 01, 02, and 03. Instead they are numbered 01, 03, and 08. When I view the HTML source, I can see where the displayed number comes from, but I can’t change ir.

  The large numbers to the left of your posts are actually the dates upon which the posts were published.
