  How can I create a domain name that does not include ‘wordpress.com’ at the end? I want the domain name to be ‘XYZ.com’ and NOT ‘XYZ.com.wordpress.com’. Thanks!

  In order to create a custom domain (one that does not end in ‘wordpress.com’) you will need to upgrade to a WordPress.com Pro plan.

  Custom domains are free for the first year with your paid annual WordPress Pro subscription. After that, the yearly charge will depend on the domain you choose.
