Hello there!
My first suggestion would be to add a category called Recipes to your site. Then, assign your recipe posts to that category.
Then, you can add the category link to your menu, like so:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/You can also add a more manual post/recipe listing to any page of your site, using the Display Post Shortcode, as seen here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/That should do the trick! If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)

Thank you, My Happiness Engineer, for a very quick reply :-)
I have already done the first two things you suggested, now I have to play with the Display Post Shortcode to see what it can do.
Thanks again! -

I just wanted to check in. Nice work with the recipes AND the subcategories! Looks great…and YUMMY.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Hello thatrobyn,
thank you for your encouraging words :-)
Just one little thing that has been bothering me for some time: my ‘Soups’ subcategory works well all around the site except for ‘Related’ section where soups show as ‘Recipes’. I don’t seem to be able to fix the problem. Do you know where I went wrong?
Thanks for your help! -
‘Soups’ subcategory works well all around the site except for ‘Related’ section where soups show as ‘Recipes’.
This is happening because your Soup recipes are included in both the “Soup” category and the “Recipe” category. The related posts links are displaying the first category assigned to each post. Since “r” comes before “s” in the alphabet, Recipes is what gets displayed.
