How can I create tabbed pages within pages and other items (list pages, tables)

  I am keen on creating tabbed pages within a single page.
  For example, if I have page entitled ‘Atom’ within that same page I would like a tab for History, tab for Structure, Tab for Experiment and Tab for Quizzes.
  I can’t find any short code for this so I guess it requires some sort of coding-which I don’t mind inserting.
  Also, the list pages short code is great, but is there any way to show the output in a fancy box and horizontal list rather than vertical list.
  I have found various websites that help with creating tables and columns, all require coding, but are there any shortcuts to achieving this.
  I hope you don’t mind my rather than long list of requests.

  Hi there,

  We don’t have any way to create additional pages within pages. The best thing that I could suggest is for you to nest pages. The way in which you do so is by creating a parent page (like Atom) and then creating a new page and then in the right hand tool bar selecting Atom as its parent page.

  This will create an automatic organizational structure which will automatically be recognized by most themes (so your menu bar will show Atoms, with a drop down menu that will have options for each page under Atoms, etc). This is the best option we have in this case.

  In regards to your question about the output of the pages shortcode, there is not any way to have it output horizontally, though users are always surprising us with the ways in which they are pushing WordPress.com to the limits. I should say that it has not been designed to be listed horizontally.

  And finally, you are correct. We don’t provide any column/table maker. Once they were quite common on websites but because of the rise of CSS and other design tools, tables are not nearly as necessary (for better or worse). Sorry for that inconvenience!
