How can I customize the e-mails that are sent when I post a new blog entry?

  I would like to make 2 changes:

  1. I would like the summary of my blog to display more than the 2-3 sentences that are currently displayed. Perhaps a paragraph or two.
  2. I would like to set my icon to something other than the default. I have looked all over and cannot find anything that seems to work. I have uploaded an image in my Dashboard several times, but that doesn’t seem to show up anywhere.

  1. The cant be controlled specifically. You can set it to either send the full post or display a summary via Settings -> Reading in your Dashboard.

  2. You can upload this via the Settings section of your blog’s Dashboard. Make sure that you’re uploading either a .jpg or .png.
