How can I debug my site redirect?
-
I started with a wordpress.org blog and recently began developing a wordpress.org site hosted by Blue Host. I transferred my content and tried following the instructions for “moving a root install to its own directory” found here http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory but got stuck on #6 after changing the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) from “http://66.147.244.60/~eatupagc” to “eatupag.com”. Now my site doesn’t display correctly and I can’t access the Dashboard to change the addresses back. Also, I’m not sure if it complicates things but I upgraded the wordpress.org site from “Eatupag.wordpress.com” to “Eatupag.com” a while back.
Are you able to help? I’m teaching myself WordPress and am not a programmer or web designer, so I don’t know most of the lingo.
Thanks very much,

Hi, Lauren. Sounds like that might be your problem. Since you registered the domain name here, you’ll need to transfer your domain or change your name server to point traffic over to your new site. Here is the info you need: Change Name Servers
Good luck!

Two issues
You need to change the name servers as indicated above
Also
The instructions in the link you gave must be followed EXACTLY or your WordPress.ORG install will not display –
For help with the link for moving you posted above you need to get help at WordPress.ORG the software you are now using –
To post a question you need to get an account at .ORG as the help forum is not related to the forum here at WordPress.COM
