How can I delete a blog?

I have transferred my blog to a new URL, and don’t need this one anymore. I’ve changed the privacy settings, but I’d like to delete it altogether. Or at least get rid of it when I sign in, so that only one blog shows up.

Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog you can delete it by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.
