How can I delete a category???

I kindly ask you to tell me how I can delete categories from my blog, I’ve added a few but now I want less, please advice me,

Hi there,
Try navigating to:
My Sites > WP Admin > Posts > CategoriesOnce there, hovering over individual category names with your mouse will display a menu where the ‘delete’ option is available.
Another way would be to check the boxes next to each Category name that you want to delete. Then click on the ‘Bulk Edit’ dropdown to select ‘Delete‘. Click the ‘Apply‘ button when done.

Nope this does not help. :( It looks like I have to create a post to access the categories list. I am unable to open the list and delete a category.

Did you perhaps miss the step that took you to wp-admin first?
Another way to get to the screen you need is to add /wp-admin/ at the end of your site URL. That takes you to your dashboard. Then Go to Posts – Categories. That gives you the good list of categories described by quitevisiblestudio.

Finally got through when I cleared my cache/ cookies. I’ve never seen that dashboard ever when I set up the blog. Thanks so much!!! :-)
