How can I delete a comment?

Hey guys, I was wondering what is the difference between moving the comment to trash rather then marking as spam. Because I marked a comment as spam and I don’t know where it is now.

    Hi Rustom,

You can find your spam comments by going to Dashboard > Comments and then clicking on the Spam hyperlink at the top. Here’s a link that would take you right to it: Dashboard > Comments > Spam.

This support doc also helps explain how to Manage Comments.

    Best of luck to you!

I also forgot to say that trashing a comment moves the comment to the trash folder, in effect deleting it, but still giving you the ability to restore it if necessary. Marking a comment as spam, filters it as an unwanted comment. The difference is that anything marked as spam can prevent future spammers from placing unwanted comments on your blog. WordPress.com blogs have a built in spam filter called Akismet that automatically catches any spam comments left on your blog.

If you accidentally moved a comment to the spam folder, you can mark it as ‘Not Spam’ to restore it. You can also permanently remove comments from either Spam or Trash folders by selecting the bulk action ‘Delete Permanently’.
