How can I delete an email address that is no longer in service?

    Previously, I had a website built with Yahoo sitebuilder and used that email Id to start a blog with wordpress.com. For a long time, it did not matter. Now I have transferred my website to another admin and to another server, (email visible only to moderators and staff) is not operable any more. However, it remained on wordpress.com for my blog, tethulika.wordpress.com and strangely, it is not letting me create a second admin and with my another ID I am using now.
    There are two problems with this. I am not getting the comment notifications and secondly, when I click on a comment from my blog, it is opening in thulika.net, which I do not own any more.
    I have tried forums and the community but their suggestions did not help.

    Are you not able to change the email address on your account by following the instructions here?

    Yes, I could delete by creating an email with a totally different provider. However, I still see comments posted on thulika.net on my blog, tethulika.wordpress.com.
