How can I delete comments when I cannot select comments for deletion?

I deleted all my (imported) posts yesterday, but now I cannot delete the comments because there is no box to select these comments, no option to delete when I mouse-hover over them. They are detached from everything, just floating in my comment section, no associating posts. Under Dashboard > Comments, and under the Author checkbox, there are no more checkboxes for the rest of these comments. I cannot do a Bulk Action on them, because I cannot select them.

I imported from Livejournal some months ago, but decided yesterday to delete the imported stuff because it was kind of cluttered. Now I can’t select the associated comments to delete, and I have these old comments that can’t be selected for deletion. I had foolishly hoped that the associated comments would be deleted along with each post, but nope, now they are dangling comments, 128 of them according to the Dashboard, that I can’t get rid of.

Oh, also, I clicked the wrong blog url in the support drop-down box, the undeleteable comments are on eirenic, not on buenasnochesirene. It’s just that I could see them in both Dashboards under Your Stuff, so I was confused as to which blog they were attached, if this makes a difference.

Thank you for whatever it was you did, because now my dangling comments are deleted, and I have my clean slate that I wanted!
