how can i delete footer info that states blog by wordpress.com

  Hello,
  Today’s challenge in building my wordpress site is: I’ve read that i can delete the footer info that says “blog created by wordpress” or something similar, and “customized theme by so-and-so” and instead use that space to put info about copyright. But I can’t find that in my WordPress Manual and was hoping someone would be able to help me again.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,
  I’ve found the relevant pages in my Manual and it’s all about editing the code of my theme.
  Any chance one of you guys could guide me through that in a really clear way. Yesterday’s Happiness Engineer was really clear…kj something; is he there today (or someone else that realises they’re dealing with a complete beginner!

  Hi there, the footer credit is required to be displayed according to our terms of service:
  http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

  Note that even sites hosted through our VIP program, such as the TED blog, display a credit to WordPress.com in the footer.
  (See the bottom of http://blog.ted.com/ for an example)
