Hi there!
WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted since we don’t want other people to have your username in the future. This is so that no one can impersonate you. :) Usernames are kept, so they cannot be recycled, not even by you, so please make sure that this is what you want to do!

If you would like to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, you can click on “Block Emails” in this page: https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/
You can remove all your data except the account name and an email address. You can create an email address that you won’t use, and change the account email to that address. This will only leave the username behind. You can do that here:
