How can I delete the comment box?

  I want to delete the comments form box entirely from my page. My page is intended to be a “static website” so I don’t want viewers to think they can interact by leaving comments. I followed your directions for “disabling comments” but it didn’t work.

  You can disable comments following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

  Keep in mind that the master setting at Settings -> Discussion only disables comments on future posts. You’ll need to follow the rest of the guide to disable them on existing posts.
