how can i delete the word home that apears in white, behind my logo at the front

  how can i delete the word “home” that apears in white, as a water mark behind my logo at the front page of my site?
  I want a simmple static front page with the minimum things, just the logo and some menu bottons: NEws, colections, home. But in the middle of the logo I can read the name of the page, called home, and there is no way to get rid off it. So , please, any suggestions?
