How can I disable askimet?

  How can I disable askimet? I HATE IT…I’m perfectly capable of managing my own blog and deleting unwanted comments. Help?

  You can’t disable Akismet on any WordPress.COM blog – you can move if you want – but my observation is that Akismet is quite accurate and saves me a lot of work – the last several people that whined about Akismet were approving a ton of spam comments – one person literally way over 1,000 spam comments – so much that the Terms of Service group had a very serious chat with that blogger

  You cannot disable Akismet on a WordPress.com blog; it is one of the things that is built in here.
