How can I disable comments?

  I followed the instructions for disabling comments and the comment tool still shows up on my pages. I has disappeared on my home page, but my other pages will not remove the comment section. Also, my home page does not come up as an option as a parent page for the other pages.

  You’ll need to disable comments individually for each page following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

  Your home page is not actually a physical page, just the part of your blog that displays your posts.
