How can I disable comments on homepage?

  The comments have been disbled on the blog but the theme doesn’t seem to be recognizing that the comments are turned off.

  Is there a bug in the theme?

  To disable the comment form you see on your blog’s front page, you will have to uncheck the discussion options for the page you chose to use as your blog’s front page.

  The easiest way to do this would be to click on the Edit link the admin bar while viewing your blog. Then, uncheck both these boxes under Discussion: “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks”.
