How can I disable sharing of media?

    I want to get rid of the option to download the videos I post to my blog. I have gone to “Settings” > “Media” and deselected “Share embed codes and download links”, but this has not changed anything. The share buttons remain on all videos and they can all still be downloaded. I have also tried deselecting “Show sharing buttons” on the individual posts, but this also does not achieve the desired effect. Please let me know how I can disable the ability for people to download my videos. Thank you.

    Howdy!

    While changing that setting in Settings > Media will make that the new default, for any videos already uploaded you’ll need to de-select that option for each file in your Media Library.

    It does appear you’ve already made that change in some places, as I do not see the sharing/download options for the video here:
