How can I disable the terribly-annoying new pop-up menu for "Related Searches?"
-
For the past week or two, every time I look at a new post from someone whose blog I follow, a pop-up menu with a “T” in a box appears at the right side of my screen offering “Related Searches.” I have to close it each time. This is extremely annoying. How can I disable it? Thanks very much in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am not experiencing that in the Reader and I’m happy that I’m not but sad that you are. As I cannot help I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Would it be possible to upload a screenshot of the whole screen to help in troubleshooting?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library and then post a link so I can see it. Thanks very much.

Hi Kathryn, here (I think) is the link you asked for: http://krikitarts.wordpress.com/2013/03/25/6072/
I uploaded the screen shot into my media file via a draft new post, and this is the permalink to the photo (or is it to my draft?)…or do you want me to actually publish the draft post with the screen shot on display? Sorry about the confusion. Eager to hear back from you! –Gary -
Thanks for the screenshot, I found it in your media library. That search sidebar is likely being added by some toolbar or extension installed in your browser.
Could you please try turning off all Firefox extensions and add-ons? Here are instructions for doing that:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons
If the search sidebar disappears, you can try reactivating the add-ons/extensions one-by-one to find the culprit that’s been inserting the sidebar.
Let me know how it goes.
