How can I disown someone a blog from my organization?

  Dear WordPress,

  I’m writing you from Richmond Vale Academy, a non-profit in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The wordpress I will refer to is climatecompliancerva.wordpress.com.

  In September last year a new activist had joined our organization and (afterwards seen mistakenly) was handed over the ownership of our wordpress blog. She has left our organization in December after a bad disagreement, without handing over the blog back to us and so is still the owner of the blog. Recently she has used this power to blackmail us to get some money from us.

  Her e-mail address owning this blog is; (email visible only to moderators and staff).
  I was hoping you could help me to remove her from this position and hand over the ownership of the blog to me – (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  Maybe it can help you when I give you the previous e-mail addresses and password from the blog?

  I’m not sure if you are in the position to handle this request?
  If not, I would like to ask you to at least temporary take the blog offline or ‘place it under construction’.

  Hi there!

  First, do not post your password in a public place. Anyone on the internet could have grabbed that information and used it to log into your account, possibly removing your access. Please immediately access that account and change your password.

  As for updating the site’s ownership, I can not change the ownership of the site without the request coming from the current owner. Please have the owner of the site reach out to us, either in this thread or via email at help@wordpress.com, with the request to transfer the site to your account.

  Dear,

  Ok I was actually not aware that I was writing to a public forum, I thought it was a contact form. Anyhow the password was changed by the owner.

  So here is the problem; the owner is in a conflict with us and not willing at this point to transfer the blog to us. So is there something we could do to take ownership over or not? That was my question and that is why I mentioned previous owners and a previous password …

  If the owner is not willing to cooperate, is there any steps we could take through wordpress to either re-own the site or to remove it?

  Hi David!

  If the current owner does not want to transfer the site to you, there’s nothing we can do. We do not modify accounts without the owner’s permission.
