How can I display just part of each post?

  I want any reader who comes to my blog to easily be able to see the title and beginning of each of my stories, with the option to click to read the rest.

  There is an article on the Support site that recommends using this code: [display-posts include_excerpt="true"]. I put it at the start of one of my stories and it *almost* did the right thing except that *that story* now included the titles and beginnings of all my stories so far. Obviously that’s not what I want, I want my home page to look like that, not the individual stories.
