How can I display links to other website with my visual editor for my posts?

  My visual editor does not show the link button as active. The textual editor allows me to go to the form where I can enter a URL. But when I switch back to the Visual Editor, the link does not appear. Confession time: I haven’t really worked on this blog for over a year. . . .

  You have to type the anchor text that you want to link to first and highlight it with your mouse before you click the link (chain) icon.
