How can I display my name instead of my blog’s name when I comment?

  Hi, I’ve searched the forums but couldn’t find an answer to this, I hope someone can help.

  I want to know if there is a way to display my name as “Cat” when I comment on other blogs outside of wordpress. I’ve selected this as the displayed name in my profile but it still displays “nestoftreasures” when I comment anywhere hosted by a different service. For about a week I was able to manually change it on some blogger blogs but I’m not sure how this happened and I can’t do it any more!

  I’ve been wondering the same thing, I was thinking you have to edit the CSS page in order to do that, but I wouldn’t know where to begin with that.

  You don’t.

  You sign in as “Name/URL” instead of using OpenID. OpenID has issues and always does that.

  To change it on your OWN blog and other WP.com blogs, change your Nickname on your Profile page. Put in the name you want to use, save changes, then go back and select that name from the drop-down menu under “nickname” and save those changes.

  Unless you mean display your name as a link to your website, in which case, nope, sorry, no idea.
