How can I display my posts from oldest to newest using a free theme?

  I am using a free theme and want to display my posts from oldest to newest. I do not want to back date the posts because I want the post dates to be accurate. Is there an option I can select to change the posts order so that the oldest appear first? If there is an easier way to do this with a theme, please let me know.
