How can I download my blog posts?

  • Unknown's avatar

I need to download my blog posts so that each blog post is downloaded as an individual .doc or .txt file.

So far, I have tried the built-in Export function but it gives me a single file with all blog posts in it. Not what I need.

Somebody suggested that I do it manually use the copy-paste function to do it. But for hundreds of blog posts automation is preferred.

Note: If no built-in solution is available for this, kindly suggest free 3rd party apps if you know any.

  • Hi there,

It is not possible to download individual posts as .txt or .doc files.

The only download option we offer is the export feature you’ve found already. That downloads your site’s content as a machine-readable .xml file, which is meant to be imported to other platforms.

You can then use a service like fastpencil.com or blogbooker.com to convert that file into a printable PDF, or ebook format of your site’s content.

Thank you for your response. I guess I need to do it manually then!

  • You might be able to find an XML to Text converter tool on the web somewhere. I can’t recommend one, but one may exist. :)

    Good luck!
