How can I edit the main title that appears on the main page?

  The title that appears over the header picture, how do I edit it? My title is way too long and I want to cut it down a bit. Thanks, Alec

  Go under setting and change it there.

  From the dashboard, choose Settings | General. Change the text of the blog title and / or tagline, then go to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
