How can I eliminate double spacing after using the "return" key? I can't find a parag

I can’t seem to locate a paragraph format icon on the toolbar. Specifically, I want to eliminate double spacing after I use the return key.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there!

My recommendation is to add your text to the HTML tab, rather than the Visual tab.

Include all line spacing you want in the HTML tab. Then, for continued formatting, click on the Visual tab. Make any adjustments you’d like here.

    Then, save your changes.

That should do the trick! If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)

You’ve been amazingly helpful and I hope I don’t wear you out with my stupid questions but I have one more issue with which I need help.

Yesterday I launched my site with an introductory blog I sent out via facebook. Great response and I’m very pleased with the results. However, now I want to introduce the blog to a number of folks who don’t follow facebook — just send them an e-mail with a link to the blog. But when I go to my wordpress site (Dead Reckoning) the opening page says “nothing found,” as if the introductory blog I posted yesterday never happened. My “About” pages are there, but nothing from the blog I posted yesterday.

    What am I doing wrong?

    You friend from the Ludditorium,

    Hi John!

Ha! I’m more than happy to answer any questions you have!

But when I go to my wordpress site (Dead Reckoning) the opening page says “nothing found,” as if the introductory blog I posted yesterday never happened. My “About” pages are there, but nothing from the blog I posted yesterday.

I think I see the problem!

Your front page is set up to display blog posts. However, you haven’t created any posts. Your introduction was actually created as a page. If you want your introduction to appear as a post on the front page, your should copy/paste the content to a new post.

If you’re not entirely certain about the differences between pages and posts, this should help:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Once you’ve added that Introduction as a post, it will then appear on the home page of your website.

If you need assistance at all with this, please do let me know! Be well.
