How can I embed a photo into a specific location in my blog?

I want to embed photos in my blog to enhance specific text. I used to be able to place the cursor in the spot and add the picture from my media library. Currently the image defaults to the top of the blog instead of further into the text. Can you help me?

  • Hi there – I see your images are spaced throughout your most recent post, so you might have already figured this out.

If you find that your image pops to the top of your post when you’ve inserted it further down, one easy way to fix it is to switch to the Text editor rather than the Visual editor. Then, copy the entire block of HTML that is the image, and paste it down below, in the spot where you want it.

The image’s code will look similar to this:

    [caption id="attachment_3" align="alignright" width="300"]<a href="http://cyndeeperkins.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/image.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-647" alt="My Image" src="http://cyndeeperkins.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/image.jpg?w=300" width="300" height="224" /></a> My Image[/caption]

Does that make sense? If you still have trouble with this, let me know!
