How can I embed audio from an alternative source?

    I can’t embed an audio player from WNYC into my Chateau theme blog. I’ve tried to insert the embed html code from wnyc.org into my post using the text interface, but it keeps on appearing in the final post as a link to the audio player, not an embedded audio player within the post.

    The link in the post reads like this:
    //www.wnyc.org/widgets/ondemand_player/#file=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wnyc.org%2Faudio%2Fxspf%2F400937%2F;containerClass=wnyc

    How can I get this audio player embedded in the post instead of appearing as a link?

    Hi Rachel,

    I believe the code required for the audio player runs a Flash script, which is not allowed on WordPress.com blogs as there’s multiple users running off a shared environment. Here’s a support article that explains what code is and isn’t allowed:

    If you’re looking to embed audio, you’ll have to link directly to an audio file or embed the SoundCloud or Audiomack players. Here’s an article that explains how you can work with audio on a WordPress.com blog:
