How can I enable comments on new posts when I never disabled them?

The comments on my new posts have been disabled, but the settings say comments are enabled. How can I make sure that readers are able to comment on my posts?

Howdy,
First—the quick, immediate fix. You can enable each post’s comment by visiting the Post Editor at https://aredheadsguide.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2398&action=edit (that particular one is your nomination post).
Then going to the Discussion box, checking the boxes, then saving the changes. (More with screenshots at this support page, including more precise step-by-step instructions).
Secondly, we’re still working on figuring out why this is happening for some of our users. For the posts that closed the comments immediately, how did you post them? Did you use the “New Post” link at the top-right on your admin bar, via “New Post” at http://wordpress.com/, via http://aredheadsguidewordpress.com/wp-admin/, etc ?
We’re trying to isolate a common cause for the folks impacted—I appreciate your patience and understanding as we troubleshoot this.
Cheers!
