How can I enable the featured content slider?
-
I am using Blissful Blog and after reading the theme help page I still can’t seem to activate the featured content slider. I have tried adding a featured tag to the pictures I want to show but it still isn’t working. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I think the idea here is that the slider shows a list of posts, not images. So, instead of “adding a featured tag to the pictures” you want to show, you add the tag you’ve chosen to a post instead. So, the steps will be:
1) Add the featured post tag in Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Content
2) Open/edit a post you want to put on the slider.
3) Add the tag from step 1 to that post.
4) Add a featured image to that post. This image will then be used on the slider.
5) To add another post to the slider, go back to step 2.
Hope this helps!

Okay, so I’ve done step 1, and the posts I want to feature in the slider have gone from my blog feed. I tagged the posts with the featured tag and still nothing happened… Do I need to put a static front page in for the slider to work? Thanks again…. ;)

Hi there,
I re-checked your site and looks like you already got the featured content slider working?

Hi, I’m having a similar problem. Under Appearance > Customize > , my “Featured Content” portion seems to have gone missing. Does anyone know why/how I can get that portion back? Without it, I can’t enable my content slider :/ Thank you

T%his is a Blissful Blog thread. You are not using the same theme. You are using Runo Lite and the detailed theme description page is here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/runo-lite/ -

porukadotto.com is hosted by iPage
Name Servers:
ns1.fatcow.com
ns2.fatcow.comThis is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

hi timethief, yes im aware that this is a wordpress.COM support forum. I posted on WordPress.ORG forum before and one of the members told me that because Blissful Blog theme is not downloadable from wordpress.org/themes, she had to tag someone from wordpress.COM over to help me with my issue so I thought i’d do a quick search to see if anyone had the same problem and user blogmademoisellem from this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/blissful-featured-content-problem?replies=7#post-1853329 had the same issue.

Yes, but we cannot help you with your WordPress.org blog. Whoever answered your thread over there and directed you here was wrong.

We have many good reasons for not answering WordPress.ORG questions in this forum. If you don’t understand them, you will help everyone by standing down.
Peace out.

A wordress.com solution will definitely help a wordpress.com user who face the same problem in this thread.
My last comment in this thread if not we are just spamming irrelevant comments here
I hope u see the benefit that wordpress.com people will get when this qn is answered instead of its a wordpress.org or MANY GOOD READONS crap
