How can I erase the time posted?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
    I was wondering how could I erase the time posted on each of my blogs? For instance, I title my blogs like this: ‘Fun 7.16.15,’ so I wouldn’t want the time nor the date to be associated with it authomatically when I finally click ‘publish.’ I don’t want it to seem redundant.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Dynahlee,

    I think you have two options. One would be to not include the date in the title of your blog post and the other would be to hide the Posted on date that your theme includes in its display.

    My recommendation would simply to remove the date from the title. Let your theme keep track of it and let search engines not see that extraneous date in the title. I could be way wrong, but it probably distracting to your site’s overall SEO.

    Thanks! How do I hide the posted date on my themes display? Dynahlee S. Padilla

    If you have Custom Design, you can alter the CSS of your site with the following:

    div.entry-meta {
        display: none;
    }

    Thanks, appreciate your help. I decided to just erase my own date. It looks better without it, like you had suggested.Dynahlee S. Padilla
