how can I establish a secure website (https) at wordpress.com ?

  Is there a WordPress setting to run my blog permanently over https?
  Setting? My profile?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi!

  Currently, we cannot provide SSL certificates for domains registered at WordPress.com (like schreib1buch.com). So, it won’t be possible to move your site to https. However, that’s something we’re looking at for the future!

  but what about schreib1kurs.wordpress.com ?
  Why, this blog is always redirected to https://schreib1kurs.wordpress.com/ ?
  Now, a certificate by GoDaddy is used.
  Can I run this blog with http instead of https?
  (I’m having a course at the university of Zurich)

  Hi!

  We have begun moving some WordPress.com sub-domains to HTTPS as part of our initiative mentioned here (started last year):

  Reset the Net

  This doesn’t apply to all WordPress.com subdomains just yet, but eventually, we will move all subdomains in that direction. You will not be able to opt-out of HTTPS. So, http://schreib1kurs.wordpress.com will automatically redirect to https://schreib1kurs.wordpress.com.

  We don’t have certificates in place yet for registered/mapped domains.
