Hi Victoria,
It sounds like you’re wanting to transfer your email subscribers to a self-hosted blog. Is that correct? If so, can you just confirm the blog you would like to transfer them from and the blog you would like to transfer them to?
If you’re just looking to download a list of email followers, you can do that from your Site Stats page. Just visit the Totals, Followers and Shares as explained here:
From there, click “Blog” and then click “Email Only”. You’ll see a download link at the bottom of the page.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

We would like to transfer the subscribers from the current blog at http://easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith.com/ to the new blog with the temporary url of http://66.147.244.192/~victoto9/easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith. After this is done, we will edit the dns and http://easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith.com/ will then point to the new blog.
Thank you for your help.

Hi there!
It’s best to update your DNS information before doing the subscriber transfer. The reason behind this is that your site will reconnect to WordPress.com via Jetpack, and we’ll see these as different sites:
66.147.244.192/~victoto9/easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith
easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith.comOnce you’ve got your new site completely setup with Jetpack and the DNS settings are updated, you can transfer your subscribers yourself by going to your blogs:
http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/
Under your self-hosted site, select Manage. In that window, you’ll see options to migrate your subscribers from one of your WordPress.com sites.
Let me know if you have any trouble with that! :)

@shawnajroberts,
The dns has all been updated and the new, self-hosted wordpress site can be seen here http://easternafricastoriesofhopeandfaith.com. However, when I go to http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/, wordpress.com still has the new site listed with the old temporary url. When I try the “manage” link I don’t see any options to migrate the subscribers.Before I updated the dns, I did download the list of subscribers as a backup. Perhaps it would be easier to upload them?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello again!
It looks like you probably just need to disconnect Jetpack and then reconnect it. Can you try doing that real quick?
