    Hi there!

Are you instead referring to the XML file? The file itself contains your posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links to images. It’s not a file meant to be opened and “viewed” as the file itself is a bunch of code referencing the site you exported it from. Additionally, XML export files don’t contain any actual images or media files. They contain links to images and other media, which will transfer to the new site after you import the XML file to that site. But if the site you exported from doesn’t exist anymore, those images and media files would also cease to exist.

Can I get more information about what you’re wanting to accomplish with this file? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Thanks!

If by that you mean a Word file or a pdf then there are many places on the Interweb that offer a service of converting your xml file and including your images as long as the site in question is still online. Without recommending them (there may be better options I haven’t tried) I have used
    https://blogbooker.com/
in the past. Depending on the content on your site there is a limited free option or various paid levels.
