How can I find out the administrator of a website?

We are a web development company recently hired by Karsten Rumpf at Prime Properties Canada. At some point in the past, Karsten had someone set-up a WordPress site for him and we have been unable to locate the credentials for the site. We need access to make some changes and eventually shut down the site and redirect it to the soon to be launched new website.
Are you able to give me the email account associated with the site? We can then use a forgot password to gain access and make the necessary adjustments on Karsten’s behalf.

WordPress.com does not host email, and I believe that Staff do not give out email addresses of the site administrators for privacy reasons.
Still, I’ve tagged this topic for a Staff follow-up, to see if they would be able to do anything for you.

The only thing that I can really suggest is that you go to our Lost/Forgotten password form:
http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
And check out the Account Recovery page which is linked from that page. There may be some means by which you can retrieve access to the account. Unfortunately we cannot provide the email address which is associated with any account for privacy reasons.
If you find that none of the options available in the account recovery form works for you, we can set the blog to private for you, though we cannot redirect it for you.
