How can I find out who owns a wordpress domain

    Someone not in my company has registered a competing domain. I’d like to find out who it is.

    Hi there. If it is a custom domain you can try looking up the Whois data. Paste the URL into this website and it should show you the domain owner: http://www.whoishostingthis.com/ Keep in mind, though, that if they registered the domain privately their personal info will be hidden in the Whois data. In that case you won’t be able to see who registered it.

    If it is a free WordPress.com URL there is no way to find out who owns it unless the owner reveals that information themselves on the site.
