How can I find what has caused my whole site to go into italics?
-
The whole of my website has gone italic. Looking at Forum threads it seems likely I have either copy and pasted text without using the “Paste from Word” button, or I have got an open or badly nested somewhere. I have ticked the “Settings/Writing/”WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” box, but nothing changes. Also I have cleared all caches and cookies. The problem only seems to exist on some browsers (eg my PC Internet Explorer 10). If I look at it on my iPad it is OK. How can I find out where the problem lies (I have hundreds of static pages) and correct it? My URL is http://symina2.wordpress.com

Hi there,
I’ve tried viewing your site on every browser I can (Firefox on a Mac and PC, Chrome on a Mac and PC, and both IE and Safari on a PC and Mac respectively) and I’ve not been able to see any italics on your site.
Is this something that is still happening? Is it happening on every page or just a couple? If you could give me some additional information, I’ll see what I can find out!

Thank you for getting back to me. In the absence of any replies (until yours) I went to Support direct and timethief sorted the problem (which was the compatibility view on my browser). How do I close this thread as Resolved?

Ah, that would explain that! I’ll take care of marking this as resolved.
Thanks for letting me know!
