How can I fix my mobile theme?

  • Unknown's avatar

I am currently building a blog and I’ve picked a great theme. However, the mobile version of it has some issues on every single device I’ve tried. The header is cut in half and the menu is invisible. Is this a dev issue? Or is it something else?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Fanwood Light is a responsive width theme, so when the width of the screen is severely reduced, the Menu collapses to an icon which needs to be clicked. So when you say it is invisible, I’m not sure I understand.

If you can take a screenshot of what you are seeing on any device and upload it to your Media Library, I’ll mark this for staff help. http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

Okay, I will be doing that right now. Thank you!

  • Hi there!

JenT’s right — Fanwood Light is a responsive theme that adjusts to the screen width of the device you’re viewing it on. Your blog does look fine on my mobile until I clicked on the menu icon. The menu that popped up appears empty, however, if you hover your mouse over it, the menu items are still there. The problem lies in the custom background color that you set in this page:

    https://losingisadisease.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-background

It’s currently set to #000000 or black, and if you put links of the same color against it, you’d be hard pressed to find anything to click on. If you can set that back to the default yellow, the menu should appear normally on mobile.

To do that, click on “Select Color” under Background Color. In the pop out screen, click “Default” then click “Save Changes”. Refresh your blog in your mobile browser to see the changes. Let me know how it works out. Thanks!
