Hi there!
– The photo in my home page is being blocked by the textbox with the words home, how do I get rid of this?
It’s possible to hide that textbox with some custom CSS. If you’re not familiar with CSS, it’s a coding language that’s used across the web to change the appearance of websites. Here at WordPress.com, it’s possible to add CSS to customise certain parts of your site’s design. If you’d like, you can read extra information on this here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#custom-css
To add custom CSS, you firstly need to go to My Sites in WordPress.com, select the site you wish to customise, then choose Customize from the left-hand sidebar. You’ll reach what’s known as the WordPress.com Customizer:
https://wordpress.com/customize/kathyacostazavala.com
From the Customizer, click on the CSS tab. Below the introductory text in the resulting editor, copy and paste the following CSS:
.front-page-content-area .with-featured-image .entry-header { display: none; }– Also how do I make the title of my page: Kathy Acosta Zavala, smaller so that the page can fit without scrolling.
From the WordPress.com Customizer, click on the Fonts tab. Next to Headings here, you’ll see a box with a number in, this number controls the font size of your site’s headings. You can click inside this box to increase or decrease the number as you wish.
– Finally, how do i free my homepage from the box underneath my photo that contains: recent posts recent comments, archive, categories, meta,
I believe you were referring to this theme’s default widgets here, and it looks like you’ve gone ahead to remove these by yourself. :)
Is there anything extra I can help out with around that? If so, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
