How can I fix the space between my video player and text?
-
Hi
I’ve been trying to embed videos onto my site. I have embedded videos from the youtube and Springboard video players and they both looked fine on the site but when I post videos from Blip.tv it leaves a massive space between the video and the text. The example of this occurrence is Here http://www.cartooncornerproductions.com/2014/11/25/palooza-corner-scooby-doo-curse-of-the-lake-monster-review/
I understand it’s an issue with the code. Probably somewhere it’s adding padding to this video player for some unknown reason. But I am unable to locate it so how would I be able to fix this problem?

Hi there,
That post is on a self-hosted site running WordPress.org software, as such, I have no access to the post to troubleshoot how it’s setup. But I can tell you that what’s causing that space is the padding in the div immediately beneath the video:
When you adjust that 50% to 0 in dev tools, the space goes away.
Best,

Hey Alex,
Thank you for responding so quickly.Another one of my tech friends actually helped me find that. However where am I supposed to find this code? On the actual post there’s no such div code that I can see, as when I post a video video link, WordPress just automatically places on the video.
The post itself looks like this…

Hmmm, this must be something with in the embed code then. It actually appears like WordPress has some css in place (for the class .fluid-video-wrapper) to try to eliminate this, but the inline style tag takes priority over the css file.
I’ve replicated the issue on WordPress.com and submitted a report to our developers.
Best,

Thank you. I’ll also be contacting Blip to see if they can give any insight on the problem. Thank you for taking the time to look at my problem.
