How can i format the title of a file to download to look like a button ?
-
Good-evening. On my blog, i offer to visitors to download my book (450 pages, in *.PDF format, in french), or to download some articles. And i have observed that some visitors (of my blog) have difficulties to locate the hyperlink, or the title of the file to download. So, how can i format the title of a file to download to look like a button ? Because i think that a button seem more clear than a simple text (like all text around it). Thank you very much.

If you upload an image, you can insert a link URL, as detailed in step 4 here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/#from-your-computer

Sorry Macmanx, but your answer doesn’t respond to the question. I want that the appearance of the title of a file (which is proposed to be downloaded by visitors) became a button. Thank you.

Exactly, you’ll need to upload the button as an image and link it. There’s no way to turn a text link into a button.

Thank you very much Mr. Macmanx for your help. I’m not sure to have understood all you have said. Until now, i do not know how to do what you have suggested. I’m a beginner, a simple user. I’m going to try what you have indicated. But i would like that it will be possible in WordPress.com to write a title, and to turn it into a button form. And the visitor of my blog can click on that “button-title” for downloading the file. It would be nice. Why is it possible to make a button with one word, and not with five or six words ? Thank you.

Not really, unfortunately. A button is an image, so you’d still have to upload the image and link it as detailed above.
