How can I free up a reserved but unused blogname?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I’m trying to start up a new blog (namely: importing my former blog to WordPress) and the name I’d like to use (so the unique name of my former blog) seems to be taken.

When I search WordPress for it I get two paradox message: the blog with the name I’m trying to use “doesn’t exist”, but the “site is reserved.” (The name I want to use doesn’t belong to a famous brand.)

Do you have any idea how could I free up a reserved but unused blogname/username?

    Thanks in advance

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The name / account is being used by someone else. The person may have decided not to have a blog for various reasons. He may be using it to access a private blog; he may be using it for JetPack and a wp.org installation. WordPress.com will not take the name and give it to anyone else.

You could upgrade with a domain name (if the name is available):
